Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick
County", sub-title "Frederick City", sub-heading "Election
and Registration"; and to add a new section to Article 11,.
to be known as Section 341A, and to follow immediately
after Section 341 of said Article, relating to the number of
voting precincts, the appointment and compensation of the
Board of Supervisors of Elections, to the salary of the
Clerk of said Board, and to the registration requirements in
Frederick City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 326, 327, 331 and 341 of Article 11 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Frederick County", sub-title "Frederick City", sub-heading
"Election and Registration", be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
326. On the second Tuesday in June, in the year 1943, and
on the same day in every third year thereafter, the voters of
Frederick City qualified as hereinafter prescribed, shall elect
the Mayor, the City Register, and five Aldermen for the City
in the manner following, namely: The city shall be divided
into eleven voting precincts, numbered from one to eleven, in-
clusive. Each precinct in Frederick City shall include the
same area and be bounded by the same boundaries as each of
the eleven precincts now established in Frederick District, in
Frederick County, Maryland, for State and County elections,,
except that no precinct in Frederick City shall extend beyond
the corporate limits of Frederick, but each of them shall extend
to the corporate limits of Frederick City.
And the said qualified voters of said city shall vote at their
respective polls for a Mayor, for a City Register and for five
Aldermen, all of which officials shall be voted for at large
by the voters of the entire city.
327. The Governor shall appoint on or before the first day
of April, in the year 1943, and on or before the same day every
third year thereafter, three persons, who shall constitute and
be styled "The Board of Supervisors of Elections for Frederick
City". Said Supervisors shall be residents and voters of
said city, and two of them shall always be selected from the
majority political party of the State and one from the minor-
ity party. They shall be men of high character and integrity
and of recognized business capacity. Each of said Supervis-
ors of Elections shall receive the sum of Three Hundred Dol-
lars ($300. 00) as compensation for his services during his term
of office from the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick. The
salaries and all other expenses incurred by them in the proper
discharge of their duties as such Supervisors of Elections shall
