SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 147.
(House Bill 203)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-section
A of Section 6 and Section 74 of Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-titles "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses"
and "County Dispensaries", relating to the hours during
which alcoholic beverages may be sold in Talbot County
and the payment of the salaries and expenses of the Liquor
Control Board of said county, and the time certain busi-
nesses must have been conducted before license may be
issued.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sub-section A of Section 6 and Section 74 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-titles "Beer, Wine and Liquor
Licenses" and "County Dispensaries", be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

6. A. (Beer, Wine and Liquor License, Class A—Off Sale).
Such a license shall be issued by the Clerk of the Circuit
Court of the county in which the place of business is located,
or by the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas for Baltimore
City, if the place of business is located in said city, and shall
authorize the holder thereof to keep for sale and to sell all
alcoholic beverages at retail, in any quantity, at the place
therein described, and to deliver the same in a sealed package
or container, which package or container shall not be opened
nor its contents consumed on the premises where sold. The
annual fee for such a license shall be Two Hundred and Fifty
Dollars ($250. 00), except in Howard County where the fee
shall be One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00); in Prince George's
County, where the fee shall be One Hundred and Fifty Dollars
($150. 00); in Washington County, where the fee shall be One
Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($150. 00); in Calvert County,
where the fee shall be One Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars
($125. 00), and in Charles County, where the fee shall be One
Hundred Dollars ($100. 00), and shall be payable to said Clerk,
before any such license is issued, for distribution as herein-
after provided.
