thereafter, levy upon all the assessable property within
the corporate limits of said municipality as now or here-
after defined, a tax or taxes in an amount sufficient to pro-
vide for said principal and interest maturities, and said
taxes shall be levied and collected in the same manner as
other municipal taxes are levied and collected in said city
and shall have the same priority in every respect as such
other taxes so levied and collected. Said tax or taxes
hereby authorized shall not be subject to any limitation
heretofore or hereafter imposed upon the taxing power of
the Mayor and Council of Crisfield and may be levied,
until all of said bonds, and the interest thereon, shall
have matured and been paid, without limitation as to rate
or amount.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds
from the sale of the bonds hereby authorized shall be paid
by the purchaser or purchasers of said bonds to the City
Clerk of Crisfield, who shall deduct therefrom all sums
received on account of accrued interest which shall be set
aside for the first maturing interest coupons of said bonds.
From the balance of said proceeds, including any premium
received for said bonds, there shall be paid all expenses,
incident to the issue of said bonds, including printing,
advertising and legal expenses, and the balance of said
proceeds shall be held by said City Clerk to be disbursed
on the order of the Mayor and Council of Crisfield for the
construction of a new draw or stationary bridge in place
of the bridge now connecting Tenth Street with that part
of the City of Crisfield known as "Jersey", said new
bridge to span Somer's Cove at such location, not neces-
sarily the same as the present location, as the Mayor and
Council of Crisfield shall, in its discretion, determine. Said
balance of said proceeds shall be used exclusively for the
construction of said bridge and for no other purpose, but
the purchasers of said bonds shall not be liable to see to the
application of the purchase money paid therefor.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That none of the pro-
visions of Chapter 630 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at its January Session in the year
1939, shall affect, limit, or have any bearing whatsoever
upon the authority herein granted.
SEC. 8.. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
