as hereinafter prescribed. Said bonds shall all be known
as "Crisfield Bridge Bonds of 1941", and they shall be
issued in denominations of Five hundred dollars ($500. 00)
or One thousand dollars ($1, 000. 00) each; they shall be
numbered consecutively, shall be in negotiable coupon form,
registerable as to principal only, and said bonds and the
coupons attached thereto shall be suitably lithographed,
printed or engraved. Said bonds shall bear interest at a
rate not exceeding five per centum (5%) per annum which
may be determined as hereinafter provided, and said in-
terest shall be payable semi-annually, accounting from the
date or dates of issue of said bonds, and interest coupons
shall be attached to each of said bonds to evidence said
interest payments as hereinabove provided. Said bonds
shall be signed by the Mayor of Crisfield, and the corporate
seal of said municipality shall be attached to each bond
duly attested by the Clerk thereof. The coupons attached
to said bonds shall bear the facsimile signature of said
Mayor. Said bonds shall have printed on them a distinct
reference to this Act by quotation of the title hereof. Said
bonds shall be issued to mature in equal annual instalments
of Fifteen hundred dollars ($1, 500. 00) aggregate par
amount thereof in each year, over a period of thirty (30)
years. The Mayor and Council of Crisfield shall pledge its
full faith and credit to the prompt payment of the principal
and interest on said bonds and none of said bonds shall be
issued and sold until said Mayor and Council of Crisfield
shall have adopted an ordinance authorizing the same in
the manner provided for in this Act. Except as herein
otherwise expressly provided, the Mayor and Council of
Crisfield shall have full and absolute discretion to deter-
mine the form and tenor of said bonds, the method and
manner of sale thereof, and the distribution of the pro-
ceeds derived therefrom.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That before any of
said bonds shall be issued and sold, the Mayor and Council
of Crisfield shall adopt an ordinance in accordance with
law, authorizing the issue of said bonds, prescribing the
form thereof, levying and imposing the necessary tax or
taxes to provide for the payment of principal and interest
thereon, and prescribing the terms and conditions of the
sale of said bonds at public sale, all in compliance with the
provisions of this Act. Said ordinance shall provide that
said bonds shall first be offered for sale at public sale in
accordance with the terms of an advertisement of the no-
tice of said sale, the form of which shall be prescribed in
said ordinance. Said notice shall be advertised and pub-
