court of competent jurisdiction, the decision of such court
shall not affect or impair any of the remaining provisions.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

(Senate Bill 287)
AN ACT to repeal in its entirety Chapter 187 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its
January Session in the year 1931, and to authorize and
empower the Mayor and Council of Crisfield to defray
in part the cost of construction of a new bridge across
Somer's Cove in said municipality by incurring indebt-
edness on its faith and credit to the extent of Forty-
five thousand dollars ($45, 000. 00) and to evidence said
indebtedness by the issue and sale at public or private
sale of its serial maturity negotiable coupon bonds, and
to authorize said Mayor and Council of Crisfield to pro-
vide funds for the principal and interest maturing on
said bonds by the levy upon all the assessable property
within the corporate limits of said municipal corpora-
tion of sufficient taxes, without limitation as to rate or
amount.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 187 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at its January Session in
the year 1931, be and the same is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
SEC. 2. And be it further enactedy That in order to en-
able the Mayor and Council of Crisfield to provide in part
the necessary funds to finance the construction of a draw
bridge or stationary bridge across Somer's Cove in said
municipality, at some convenient and appropriate loca-
tion, the Mayor and Council of Crisfield is hereby author-
ized and empowered to borrow on its full faith and credit
a sum not exceeding Forty-five thousand dollars ($45, -
000. 00) and to evidence said borrowing by the issue and
sale from time to time or all at one time of the serial matur-
ity negotiable coupon bonds of said municipality, which
said bonds shall be in such form and sold in such manner
