tion) be and hereby are repealed, in so far and to the extent
that they prohibit the operating of and or the working of or
employment of persons in the operation of any bathing1 beach,
bath house, amusement park, dancing saloon, the sale or sell-
ing at retail of any merchandise, essential to or customarily
sold or incidental to the operation of the aforesaid occupa-
tions or businesses, picnic groves, amusements, games, amuse-
ment rides, amusement devices, entertainments, shows, and the
hiring and renting of boats, tables, chairs, beach umbrellas,
on the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday, in Anne
Arundel County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 769.
(House Bill 899)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and City
Council of Havre de Grace to refund certain outstanding
bonded indebtedness, being the bonds of Series B and Series
C of the Havre de Grace Refunding Bonds of 1936, issued
pursuant to the authority of Chapter 32 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at/its Extraordi-
nary Session held in the year 1936, in the aggregate par
amount of One hundred and forty-seven thousand dollars
($147, 000. 00), and certain outstanding floating indebtedness
of said municipality, in the aggregate par amount of Fifteen
thousand dollars ($15, 000. 00), and to that end to issue
and sell under certain circumstances not exceeding One
hundred and sixty-two thousand dollars ($162, 000. 00) prin-
cipal amount of the negotiable coupon bonds of said munic-
ipality to be known as "Havre de Grace Refunding Bonds
of 1941" and to be designated respectively Series B, matur-
ing at the end of twenty (20) years from date of issue,
subject to prior redemption, and Series G and Series D,
maturing serially over varying periods not exceeding twenty
(20) years from the date or dates of issue thereof, the
proceeds from the sale of so many of said bonds as may be
issued to be used solely and exclusively for the redemption
and retirement of the above-described obligations, or any
part thereof, and their refunding; authorizing said Mayor
and City Council of Havre de Grace to determine the form
