day next preceding the first Monday in April of each year,
appoint two persons to act as officers of said registration,
who shall sit as officers of registration at such places in said
town as may be designated by the said Mayor and Commis-
sioners, on the first Monday in May in each year, between the
hours of 12. 30 and 8. 30 P. M., and said registrars shall sit
not less than eight (8) hours and ten days' public notice of
said sitting and the place thereof shall be given by adver-
tisement by way of notices on handbills posted in not less
than ten public places within the corporate limits of the said
Town of Barton.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 104.
(House Bill 160)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12
of Article 1A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "City of Cumberland", sub-title "Mayor
and Council", relating to the qualifications of the Mayor
and Councilmen of Cumberland.

CHAPTER 105.
(House Bill 168)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
524 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Carroll County", sub-title "Westminster", as
amended by Chapter 453 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at its January Session in 1939;
and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 524B
of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
providing for the government of the City of Westminster,
the qualification of the Mayor and the members of the
Common Council, the method of conducting Municipal Elec-
tions and the registration of voters.
