list of all property under his custody or control, or used by him
or his subordinates, owned by Montgomery County or any
agency thereof, which list shall be in such form as the said
County Accountant shall prescribe and shall be certified as
true and correct by the head of each department or official
furnishing same.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 741.
(House Bill 849)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition—being Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "County Accountant and
Budget", said new section to be known as Section 167A and
to follow immediately after Section 167 of said Article,
providing that the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County give a public hearing before adopting resolution
making appropriations for the several county purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition—
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "County Account-
ant and Budget", said new section to be known as Section
167A, to follow immediately after Section 167 of said Article,
and to read as follows:

167A. Immediately upon the submission of the Budget Esti-
mates by the County Accountant, the Board of County Com-
missioners shall before adopting the resolution making appro-
priations for the several county purposes, hold a public hear-
ing upon the Budget Estimates after giving at least one week's
notice, giving the time and place of such hearing, published
in not less than two newspapers of general circulation pub-
lished in said county.

SEC. 2. And lie it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.
