be operated and shall state that applications will be received
up to January 1st. On January 1st the Commission shall issue
such additional licenses, within the limits set, to be chosen by
lot from among the applications received prior to January
1st, or from among the applications for each particular area.
The Commission shall by regulation fix the number of nets
that may be licensed to any one applicant under this section.

63. Licenses to operate nets granted under the authority
of this sub-title shall expire on December 31st of each year,
but shall be renewable annually to the person named therein,
unless revoked or suspended for cause, provided application
for renewal for the ensuing year be filed on or before Decem-
ber 1st of the preceding year. If any person shall fail to make
a bona fide use of his license during any two consecutive license
years, the license shall lapse and shall not be renewed.

63A. The Commission shall not grant a license to any per-
son, under the provisions of this sub-title, to operate a pound
net on the location occupied by any other licensee or within
four hundred (400) yards thereof measured at right angles to
the line of stakes, unless such other licensee shall have failed
to apply for renewal of his license on or before December 1st
of the year for which it was granted.

The Commission shall mail blanks for application for re-
newal of license to each licensee at the address given in his
most recent license application or to such other address as he
may have designated in writing subsequent to filing applica-
tion. Such blanks shall be sent by registered mail during the
month of November and the mailing thereof shall constitute
sufficient notice and warning of the expiration of the license
on December 31st following.

63B. Before issuing any license the Commission shall collect
the following license fees:

POUND NETS

In Chesapeake Bay, $5. 00 for the first net and f 1. 00 for each
additional net.

In the tributaries of Chesapeake Bay, f2. 00 for the first net,
f 1. 00 for additional net.

In Chincoteague, Sinepuxent, Isle of Wight and Assawoman
Bays and their tributaries, and in the Atlantic Ocean within
three miles of the Maryland Shore, $5. 00 for each net.

HAUL SEINES

In Chesapeake Bay and tributaries, f3. 00 for each net.

In Chincoteague, Sinepuxent, Isle of Wight and Assawoman
Bays and their tributaries, and in the Atlantic Ocean within
three miles of the Maryland shore, $5. 00 for each net.
