CHAPTER 707.
(House Bill 605)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 259 and 260 of Article 93 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Testa-
mentary Law", sub-title "Orphans' Court", relating to the
appointment of trustees to sell real estate of a minor.
WHEREAS, the provisions of these sections are obsolete; there-
fore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 259 and 260 of Article 93 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Testamentary
Law", sub-title "Orphans' Court", be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 708.
(House Bill 636)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 174-196, inclusive, of Article 19
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title "Roads", and
to enact in lieu thereof one new section to be known as
Section 174, relating to roads in St. Mary's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 174-196, inclusive, of Article 19 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"St. Mary's County", sub-title "Roads", be and they are hereby
repealed and that one new section be and it is hereby enacted
in lieu thereof, to be known as Section 174, and to read as
follows:
174. The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County shall
have the power by ordinance or resolution of condemning,
laying out, opening, extending and making new roads and for
altering, straightening, widening, grading, improving, or clos-
ing up in whole or in part any existing road, and for removing
trees, posts and other obstructions, and for building or laying
