"Ballots and Ballot Boxes", said new section to be known
as Section 99A, and to follow immediately after Section 99
of said Article, and relating to the manner and method in
which the names of candidates for certain judicial offices
shall be placed upon the ballots and voting machines.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Elections", sub-title "Ballots and Ballot Boxes", said new
section to be known as Section 99A, to follow immediately
after Section 99 of said Article, and to read as follows:
99A. The names of all candidates for Chief Judge or for
Associate Judge of the Circuit Courts of the several counties,
or for Chief Judge or Associate Judge of the Supreme Bench
of Baltimore City, or for Judge of the Court of Appeals, shall
be placed in alphabetical order on the ballots or voting ma-
chines, without any party label or other distinguishing mark
or location which might directly or indirectly indicate the
party affiliation of any such candidate.
SEC. 2. And be it -further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 55
of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title "Clerk of the
Court of Appeals", and to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, Section 59 of said Article, sub-title "Clerks of Circuit
Courts"; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 2 and 3 of Article 87 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), title "Sheriffs", sub-title "Oath of
Office and Bond"; and to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, Section 273 and to repeal Section 275 of Article 93
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Testamentary Law", sub-title "Register of Wills", relating
to the bonds of the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, the Clerks
of the Circuit Courts, the Sheriffs, and the Registers of
Wills.
