CHAPTER 697.
(House Bill 611)

AN ACT to repeal Section 213 of Article 23 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Corporations, " sub-
title "Railroad Corporations'7, relating to the rates to be
charged for passenger transportation by railroads incorpo-
rated under the Maryland law.

WHEREAS, this Section is no longer effective since the crea-
tion of the Public Service Commission; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted Ity the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 213 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Corporations, " sub-title
"Railroad Corporations", be and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

Approved May 6, 1941.

CHAPTER 698.
(House Bill 612)

AN ACT to repeal Section 254 of Article 23 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Corporations", sub-
title "Railroad Corporations", giving the Board of Public
Works power to prescribe heating apparatus for railroad
cars.

WHEREAS, this Section is no longer effective since the crea-
tion of the Public Service Commission; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 254 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Corporations", sub-title "Rail-
road Corporations", be and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

Approved May 2, 1941.
