CHAPTER 680.
(House Bill 167)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", to be under new sub-title "Fraud—Lapel Orna-
ments", said new section to be known as Section 241A and
to follow immediately after Section 241 of said Article,
relating to sales of lapel ornaments by members of veterans'
organizations.

AN ACT to add eleven new Sections to Article 41 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Governor-
Executive and Administrative Departments", sub-title
Governor", said eleven new Sections to follow immediately
after Section 57 of said Article 41 and to be known as Sec-
tions 57-A, 57-B, 57-C, 57-D, 57-E, 57-F, 57-G, 57-H, 57-1,
57-J and 57-K of said Article; providing for the interstate
protection of public property, authorizing the appointment
of special policemen for such purpose by the Governor of
Maryland upon the application of the Governor of any
other State, and prescribing the qualifications, powers,
duties, compensation and supervision thereof, and the ter-
mination and revocation of their appointment; providing
immunity from liability for the acts of such special police-
men; and penalties for acts committed by them after the
termination of their authority; and authorizing the Gov-
ernor of Maryland to arrange for the appointment of special
policemen for the preservation and protection of public
property located without this State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That eleven new Sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion ), title "Governor-Executive and Administrative Depart-
ments", sub-title "Governor", said eleven new Sections to fol-
low immediately after Section 57 of said Article 41 and to be
known as Sections 57-A, 57-B, 57-C, 57-D, 57-E, 57-F, 57-G,
57-H, 57-1, 57-J and 57-K of said Article, and to read as
follows:
