ger of several employees being injured or killed by one and
the same accident, the relative influence, the different methods,
by which compensation may be assured under this Article
are likely to exert upon the employer and his employees for
the prevention of accidents, and any other facts or conditions
bearing upon the security and promptness of payment of the
compensation and the prevention of accidents.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 93.
(House Bill 132)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 41
of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "County
Commissioners", as said section was amended by Chapter
373 of the Acts of * 1935, decreasing the maximum amount
which the County Commissioners of Carroll County may
borrow to meet current expenses and the amount which
said Commissioners may borrow from time to time for
extraordinary and emergency expenditures.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 41 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-
title "County Commissioners", as said section was amended
by Chapter 373 of the Acts of 1935, be, and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

41. Whenever the amount of taxes collected shall be insuffi-
cient to meet the current expenses of Carroll County, the
County Commissioners of Carroll County shall be authorized
and empowered to borrow upon the credit of said County,
such sums of money, not to exceed $100, 000 as may be neces-
sary to pay such expenses; and the said County Commission-
ers of Carroll County are also authorized and empowered to
borrow, from time to time, upon the credit of said County
such sums of money, not to exceed $100, 000, as may be neces-
sary in the judgment of said County Commissioners, to pay
any extraordinary or emergency expenses or obligations of
said County, the payment of which has not been provided for
in preceding tax levies.
