known as Section 622A and to follow immediately after
Section 622 of said Article, authorizing the Sheriff of Alle-
gany County to appoint a clerk and providing for his com-
pensation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Allegany County", sub-title "Sheriff", said new
section to be known as Section 622A, to follow immediately
after Section 622 of said Article, and to read as follows:

622A. The Sheriff of Allegany County is hereby authorized
to appoint a clerk to perform such duties as the said Sheriff
may assign to him, for which service be shall receive nine hun-
dred dollars ($900. 00) per year, to be paid in monthly instal-
ments by the County Commissioners of said County. The
County Commissioners shall include said amount in the tax
levy each year.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 666.
(House Bill 746)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
2 and 4 of Chapter 189 of the Acts of 1931 as the same were
repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 281 of the Acts of 1937
and Chapter 655 of the Acts of 1939, increasing the annual
appropriation for the Prince George's County Volunteer
Fire Association and the bond of the Treasurer thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 2 and 4 of Chapter 189 of the Acts of 1931
as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 281 of the Acts of 1937
and Chapter 655 of the Acts of 1939, be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

2. The County Commissioners of Prince George's County
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to appropriate
and levy annually the sum of Twenty Thousand Three Hundred
Dollars ($20, 300. 00) for the use of the Prince George's County
Volunteer Fire Association. Said sum shall be paid annually
to the Treasurer of said Association and Forty-two Hundred
Dollars ($4, 200. 00) thereof shall be disbursed by him to the
Bladensburg Rescue Squad $1, 200, Glendale Rescue Squad
f 750, Marlboro Rescue Squad f 750, Brentwood Rescue Squad
