been duly made and not withdrawn, in accordance with the
provisions of this Article and no other names; the names of
the candidates for each office nominated as required by the
provisions of this Article shall be grouped together under a
heading designating for what office said candidates have been
nominated; and there shall be left below the list of candidates
for each different office, a blank space in which the voter may
insert in writing or otherwise the name of any person not
printed on the ballot, for whom he may desire to vote as a
candidate for such office; the ballots shall be so printed as
to give each voter a clear opportunity to designate by a cross
(X) mark in a sufficient margin at the right of the name of
each candidate and each voter shall be considered as having
voted for such candidate opposite to whose name he shall on
the margin to the right put a cross (X) mark; the ballots
shall be printed in black ink on clear white paper; before
being distributed the ballots shall be folded so that the width
and length shall be uniform, and of proper width to be placed
without difficulty in the ballot boxes provided by law; on the
outside and back shall be printed the words "Official Ballot
for the town of Boonsboro" followed by the date of election
and a facsimile of the signature of the Mayor of Boonsboro,
beneath which shall be printed "Mayor of Boonsboro".
45B. Any person desiring to vote shall present himself
at the place of election to vote, and give his name to the
Clerk of the Election, and if such name be found by the
Judge of Election upon the list of registered voters, the said
Clerk of Election shall give to said voter one and only one
ballot; before giving the ballot to the voter said Clerk shall
place his own initials immediately beneath the facsimile sig-
nature; and the said voter shall retire alone to one of the
voting booths, where the said voter shall vote his ballot pri-
vately, by placing a cross (X) mark opposite the name of the
candidate for whom he desires to vote, and no voter shall be
allowed more than three minutes of time in making out his
ballot, at the end of which time and at the demand of the Clerk
of Election, every voter shall immediately surrender his said
ballot to the Judge of Election, designated for that purpose
properly folded, so as to show the initials of the Clerk of
Election, arid if said initials shall properly appear thereon,
the said ballot shall be received and placed in the ballot box;
and the Judge of Election shall note on the Poll Book such
person has voted. If any ballot be spoiled by a voter he may
surrender same and receive from said Clerk a second ballot
to be voted on. No person shall vote at any Municipal election
except by the use of an official ballot as herein prescribed.
