of these voters shall reside within the limits of the ward for
which he is a candidate. No signature shall be counted if it
shall be upon more than one nomination paper of a candidate
for Mayor or more than one nomination paper of candidates
for Councilmen from the same ward.

A certificate in the following form shall be sufficient:

CERTIFICATE OF NOMINATION

To the Supervisors of Election of Mount Rainier, Maryland:

I hereby request that yon print my name on the official ballot
to be used in the Town Election to be held..................

as a candidate for......................... and I do hereby

certify that my name is...................................;

I am........ years old; I am a resident of the........ Ward;

and have lived in the Town for............ years; and I am

the owner of Real Estate in said Town in my own name to
the amount of $500. 00 as per deed recorded in Liber........

No.......... folio......... one of the Land Records of Prince

George's County, Maryland.

We, the undersigned, qualified voters request the candidacy
of................................

No petition of nomination shall be received by said Super-
visors of Election after said meeting, except that in the event
of any vacancy occurring in any nominations on said date, or
between said date and the date of election, the Supervisors
shall, if possible, appoint another time for receiving nomina-
tions to fill such vacancy on the ballots, which nominations
shall be in all respects the same as those hereinbefore pro-
vided for. Immediately after the sitting of said Supervisors
of Election for the purpose of receiving1 petitions of nomina-
tions as aforesaid, the said Supervisors of Election shall make
up the official ballots from the names of qualified voters so
submitted to them and no name shall be placed upon said
ballots by said Supervisors except such as shall be presented
to them by petition of nomination as above set out. A fac-
simile of the official ballots shall be published in one or more
newspapers published or circulated in the town at least once
before election. The official ballot shall be of substantial
plain paper not less than four nor more than six inches
wide, and there shall be a square at the right of the name
of, each candidate and a blank space at the end of the
list of candidates for each office with a square opposite said
blank space so that any voter may write therein the name of
any person for whom he may wish to vote for any office whose
