known as Section 285A and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 285 of said Article, relating to certain county employees
engaged in constructing or maintaining county roads or
bridges in Worcester County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Roads", said new
section to be known as Section 285A, to follow immediately
after Section 285 of said Article, and to read as follows:
285A. (1) Every county employee engaged in the construc-
tion or maintenance of county roads or bridges shall be under
the exclusive jurisdiction and control of the County Roads En-
gineer or Superintendent.
(2) Such employees shall receive not less than the hourly
wage rate paid to State employees engaged in similar work on
State highways in Worcester County.
(3) Every such employee who promptly reports for work at
the State Roads Barn at any place in Worcester County shall
receive at least one-half a day's wages, even though he does no
work on that day because of inclement weather.
(4) Each such employee who has worked under the County
Roads Engineer or Superintendent for at least one year shall
receive 15 days vacation with pay, at a time to be designated
by said Superintendent; and shall also be entitled to 15 days
sick leave with pay in each year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

(House Bill 273)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 25
of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Insurance", sub-title "General Provisions",
relating to the investment of reserves of insurance com-
panies, and the length of time real estate acquired under
mortgage foreclosures may be held.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
