SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 63.
(Senate Bill 24)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
7A½ of Article 89B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1935 Supplement), title "State Roads", as said
section was enacted by Chapter 458 of the Acts of 19, 37,
including the Town of Washington Grove in the list of
incorporated towns and special taxing areas in Mont-
gomery County entitled to receive a portion of the Lat-
eral Road Gasoline Tax allocated to Montgomery County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 7A½ of Article 89B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "State
Roads", as said section was enacted by Chapter 458 of the
Acts of 1937, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments, to read as follows:

7A½. Out of the appropriation of the "One and one-
half cent Lateral County and Municipal Road Gasoline
Tax Fund" created by Section 212B, Article 56 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), allocated
by the said State Roads Commission of Maryland to Mont-
gomery County, the State Roads Commission shall pay to
Garrett Park, Town of Washington Grove, Town of Gaith-
ersburg, Mayor and Council of Glen Echo, Town of Somer-
set, Town of Takoma Park, Commissioners of Laytonsville,
The Commissioners of Poolesville, The Commissioners of
Brookville, Town of Kensington, The Commissioners of
Barnesville, The Mayor and Council of Rockville, Treas-
urer of Oakmont Citizens' Committee, Treasurer of Drum-
mond Citizens' Committee, Treasurer of Chevy Chase Citi-
zens' Committee Section Two, Treasurer of Chevy Chase
Citizens Committee Section Three, Treasurer of Chevy
Chase Citizens' Committee Section Four, Treasurer of
