962 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 445

(1930 Edition), title "Washington County", to be under sub-
title "Wild Animals", said new sections to be known as Sec-
tions 816A, 816B and 816C of said Article, to follow imme-
diately after Section 816 of said Article, and to read as fol-
lows:

816A. Any citizen of Washington County, Maryland, who
shall kill or destroy a fox, wildcat, weasel, horned owl, hawk
or crow, within the limits of Washington County, shall be
entitled to the following allowance or bounty, viz: For each
fox, the sum of $2. 00, for each wildcat, the sum of $2. 00, for
each weasel, the sum of $. 50, for each hawk the sum of $. 50,
for each horned owl, the sum of $1. 00 and for each crow the
sum of $. 05.

816B. In order to obtain such allowance, it shall be neces-
sary for the person, or parent, or guardian of the person or
persons, killing a fox, wildcat, weasel, horned owl, hawk or
crow, to produce the skin or skins of such fox, wildcat or
weasel and the head or heads of such hawk, horned owl or
crow before the Clerk of the County Commissioners of Wash-
ington County, and at the same time make oath in due form
that the said fox, wildcat, weasel, horned owl, hawk or crow,
as the case may be, was taken and killed within the limits of
said Washington County, within sixty days before the pro-
duction of said skin or skins or head or heads to the said
Clerk of the County Commissioners. The said Clerk of the
County Commissioners shall thereupon give to the person or
persons producing said skin or skins, or head or heads, a
certificate that such skin or skins, or head or heads were
produced before him, wherein he shall set forth the above
mentioned oath. And it shall also be the duty of the said
Clerk of the County Commissioners, to mark any such skin or
skins, by means of perforating both ears and forehead of such
skin or skins, by means of a special perforating machine to be
furnished said Clerk by the said County Commissioners of
Washington County and to destroy the head or heads of any
hawk, horned owl or crow, in order that no person or persons
may collect said allowance or bounty on any skin or skins,
head or heads, more than one time. Upon presentation of said
certificate, above mentioned, to the Treasurer of said Wash-
ington County, the Treasurer shall pay the allowance or
bounty as provided in Section 816A hereof.

816C. Any person, persons, firm or corporation, found
guilty of violating any of the provisions of this sub-title, shall
be found guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof,
shall be fined not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100) or
