2. There is hereby created a Commission to manage the
finances of said Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Fire Depart-
ment, raised by the levy of the tax provided in Section 1 of
said Chapter 55, the Commission to consist of seven members,
all of whom shall be taxpayers, to be appointed for a term of
one year and in the following manner:

Two of said members shall be appointed by the Mayor and
Council of Gaithersburg; two by the Mayor and Council of
Washington Grove; two by the members of the Gaithersburg-
Washington Grove Fire Department, Inc., from its active mem-
bership, and one shall be selected by the six members ap-
pointed as herein provided from outside the Sanitary Zone
but a taxpayer of the Ninth District.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 441.

(House Bill 695)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 480
of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Harford County", sub-title "Taxes and County Treas-
urer"; changing the time for the execution of a deed by the
Treasurer for property sold at tax sales.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 480 of Article 13 of the Code of Public Lo-
cal Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-title "Taxes
and County Treasurer", be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

480. After the expiration of twenty-four calendar months
from the date of such sale, provided the same has been
finally ratified by the Court, the treasurer then in office shall,
by good and sufficient deed duly executed and acknowledged
according to law, convey to the purchaser or purchasers the
parcels of land sold to them respectively, and the deed of the
successor in office of the treasurer who made such sale shall
be as good and valid in law as though it had been executed and
delivered by the said last-named treasurer.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.
