payable on the order of the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery County in equal monthly instalments and they shall
not receive any other compensation, emolument, pay or recom-
pense of any kind whatsoever for their services, including
services rendered under Section 202 of this Article. The Board
of Supervisors of Elections of Montgomery County may em-
ploy any member of the Bar of the Court of Appeals of the
State of Maryland, resident in Montgomery County, who shall
be paid for his services the sum of six hundred dollars
(1600. 00) per annum, payable in equal monthly instalments
and no other fees or compensation whatsoever., and may also
employ and appoint a clerk, who shall be paid such salary
as may be fixed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Montgomery County, but said Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions shall employ 110 other assistants or clerks of any kind
whatsoever, except with the approval of the Board of County
Commissioners of Montgomery County and at such compensa-
tion as may be fixed by the said Board of County Commis-
sioners. The members of the Board of Supervisors of Elec-
tions of Frederick County shall receive an annual salary of
four hundred and eighty dollars (f480. 00), payable on the
order of the County Commissioners of Frederick County in
equal monthly instalments and they shall not receive any other
compensation, emolument, pay or recompense of any kind
whatsoever for their services, including services rendered un-
der Section 202 of this Article. The Board of Supervisors of
Elections of Frederick County may employ any member of the
Bar of the Court of Appeals of the State of Maryland, resident
in Frederick County, who shall be paid for his services the
sum of two hundred dollars ($200. 00) per annum, payable in
semi-annual instalments, and no other fees or compensation
whatsoever, unless said attorney shall be called upon by the
Board to perform some special or extraordinary legal service
over and above his routine duties as attorney to the Board;
and the Board of Supervisors of Elections of Frederick Coun-
ty may also employ and appoint a clerk, who shall be paid an
annual salary of three hundred dollars ($300. 00), payable on
the order of the County Commissioners of Frederick County
in equal monthly instalments, but said Board of Supervisors
of Elections shall employ no other assistants or clerks of any
kind whatsoever, except with the approval of the Board of
County Commissioners of Frederick County and at such com-
pensation as may be fixed by the said Board of County Com-
missioners.

SEC. 2. And be It further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.
