Frederick Female Seminary, Scholarships Fund. In consid-
eration of said endowment Hood College shall annually pro-
vide tuition scholarships in said Institution, to be known as
Frederick Female Seminary Scholarships, in number and
amounts equivalent in the aggregate to not less than fourteen
annual full tuition scholarships, to be awarded by said Col-
lege to qualified and deserving female students who are resi-
dents of Frederick County, Maryland, the allotments and
awards of said scholarships to be subject to the approval of
the Board of Education of Frederick County. The invest-
ment of said endowment fund shall be in securities other than
the obligations of the College and shall be subject to the ap-
proval of a financial institution selected for that purpose, in
the first instance, by agreement of the Trustees and the Col-
lege, any subsequent change in said selection to be by agree-
ment of the College and said County Board of Education. The
cost of such investment service to be paid out of the income
from said endowment fund, and the investments thereof shall
be reported by the College to said County Board of Educa-
tion annually. In the event that the purposes of said en-
dowment, as herein specified, should at any time in the future,
and for any reason, fail of accomplishment, the said endow-
ment fund and investments shall be transferred to the Board
of Education of Frederick County to be administered by it for
the procurement of scholarships to be used in aid of the
higher education of female students. When the transfer
hereby authorized shall have been made to Hood College by
the Trustees of the Frederick Female Seminary, all of the
rights and interests of said Trustees with respect to the ad-
ministration and contingent reversion of said endowment
shall be and are hereby transferred to and vested in the Board
of Education of Frederick County, and the corporate existence
of the Trustees of the Frederick Female Seminary shall
thereupon be hereby terminated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on the first day of June 1, 1939.

of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Sup-
plement), title "Elections", sub-title "Supervisors of Elec-
tions", as said section was amended by Chapter 121 of the
Acts of 1937, relating to the salaries of the Supervisors of
