CHAPTER 386.
(Senate Bill 207)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 39A of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland, (1935 Supplement), title "For-
estry", sub-title "Miscellaneous", to be known as Section
33C, to follow Section 33B of said Article, authorizing
the Forestry Department to make and enforce rules and
regulations for the maintenance of order, safety or
sanitation in State forests and parks, and providing pen-
alties for violation thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new Section be, and the same is hereby
added to Article 39A of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
(1935 Supplement), title "Forestry", sub-title "Miscel-
laneous", to be known as Section 33C, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 33B of said Article, and to read as
follows:
33C. The State Department of Forestry shall have
power and authority to make rules and regulations for the
maintenance of order, safety or sanitation (including traf-
fic regulations), and for the protection of trees and other
property and the preservation of the natural beauty, with-
in the State parks and State forests and upon any other
lands under its control. Such rules and regulations shall
be posted in conspicuous places upon such lands, and en-
forced by the forest and park officers. Any person violat-
ing any such rule or regulation shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction shall be subject to a fine of
not less than Five Dollars ($5. 00) nor more than One
Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) for each and every offense.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1st, 1939.

AN ACT to alter and amend the laws relating to taxation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the provisions of this Act, so far as they
