the first grade for a full year, shall receive increased salary
at the rate of One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) per annum and
for each year thereafter in which he shall so qualify he
shall receive a like increase until he receives a maximum sum
of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1, 500. 00) per annum, and shall
also be entitled to necessary traveling expenses incurred by
him in the discharge of his duties, subject to such regulations
and limitations as the Game Warden may from time to time
see fit to establish.
The Game Warden is authorized, with the consent of the
Commission, to appoint Regional Deputy Game Wardens, who
shall be required to supervise the District Deputy Game
Wardens of their respective region, each of whom shall re-
ceive a salary not to exceed Fifteen Hundred Dollars
($1, 500. 00) per annum and necessary traveling expenses and
other expenses incurred by him in the discharge of his official
duties, subject to such regulations and limitations as the
Game Warden, upon the advice of the Commission, may from
time to time see fit to establish. Said appointments shall be
made, however, only when funds are available and provided
for in the budget.
All Deputy Game Wardens shall perform such duties as the
Game Warden may designate, including the guarding of
streams and waters of the State against pollution.
The Game Warden shall issue to each person so appointed
as Deputy Game Warden a commission and badge and trans-
mit such commission to the Clerk's office of the Circuit Court
for the County in which said Deputy Game Warden so ap-
pointed has his legal residence, or to the office of the Clerk
of the Superior Court of Baltimore City, if residing in Balti-
more City, and may revoke and annul any such appointment
at any time he may desire; but in the case of those persons
under the Merit System at the time of the passage of this
Act, only in accordance with the provisions of Article 64A of
the Code.
13. Whenever the Game Warden shall require the assistance
of the Division or Department in charge of tidewater fish and
fisheries, he shall so advise that Department, which in turn
shall instruct the head of the said State Tidewater Fisheries
Force to forthwith assist the Game Warden or Deputy Game
Warden in the enforcement of the game and fish laws of this
State; and the Game Warden shall likewise have the right
to call upon the State police for such assistance. Whenever
the Game Warden or Deputy Game Warden shall require the
advice and assistance of the State's Attorneys and Sheriffs
of the several Counties of this State or of Baltimore City, it
