561A. No person, firm, corporation or association owning
and operating within Allegany County any school bus for the
transportation of Allegany County school children, shall per-
mit the number of passengers in any such bus to exceed its
seating capacity by more than twenty-five per cent (25%) in
a bus with a center aisle, or by more than ten per cent (10%)
in a bus without a center aisle; provided, however, that the
limitation as to the number of passengers shall not apply
within a mile radius of the school to or from which such school
children are carried. Any person, firm, corporation or associa-
tion violating any provision of this section shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be
punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50. 00) nor
more than one hundred dollars ($100. 00) for each offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 351.
(House Bill 173)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 13 and 14 of Article 56 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), and Sections
812 to 819, inclusive, of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City",
sub-title "Real Estate Brokers", and to add twenty-one new
sections to Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1935 Supplement), title "Licenses", said new sections to
be under sub-title "Real Estate Brokers", to be known as
Sections 285 to 305, inclusive, and to follow immediately
after Section 284 of said Article, to create a Real Estate
Commission, to prescribe its powers and duties and to regu-
late and license the business of real estate brokers and real
estate salesmen, as in this Act defined.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Sections 13 and 14 of Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), and Sections 812 to 819,
inclusive, of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title
"Real Estate Brokers", be and they are hereby repealed.
