heretofore passed by the Commissioners of the Town
of Aberdeen shall remain in force and have the same
legal effect as when enacted, the intention being not to
repeal by any provision hereof any of the said ordinances,
unless they be in direct conflict herewith.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 325.

(Senate Bill 361)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section
84A of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-title "Assess-
ments"; as the same was enacted by Chapter 260 of the
Acts of 1933; providing for the issuance of a permit by
the County Commissioners of Harford County before
any buildings are erected in Harford County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That section 84A of Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County",
sub-title "Assessments", be repealed and re-enacted to read
as follows:

84A. Hereafter no building or structure of any kind
whatsoever exceeding in value one hundred dollars shall
be erected or constructed in Harford County, without a
permit in writing, obtained from the office of the County
Commissioners of Harford County. Any contractor or
owner who is about to erect or construct any new building
or structure, or who is about to construct any addition to
any existing building, in said County, under the provisions
of this Act, must first apply, verbally or in writing to the
office of the said Commissioners, giving a general descrip-
tion of the said proposed building or addition and the
location, together with the contemplated value thereof, and
obtain said permit, for which no fee shall be charged by
said Commissioners. Any person or corporation failing to
comply with the provisions of this section shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before a
