700 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 319

151A. The County Commissioners of Kent County are
hereby authorized and directed to pay on or before the 15th
day of January, in each and every year, the sum of one
thousand ($1000. 00) dollars to Betterton Volunteer Fire
Company, the sum of One Thousand ($1, 000) to the Mil-
ling-ton Volunteer Fire Company, the Sum of Two Thousand
Dollars ($2, 000) to the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Com-
pany and the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000) to the
Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company and the said County
Commissioners are authorized to levy yearly upon the
assessable property of Kent County a rate of tax sufficient
to produce the sum or sums so to be annually paid to said
fire companies.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 319.
(Senate Bill 300)

AN ACT to add a new and additional section to Article
43 of the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland (1935 Supplement), entitled "Health", to be
under the sub-title "Commissioners of Pharmacy", said
new section to follow immediately after Section 234 of
said Article, and to be known as Section 234-A, to pro-
vide for special examinations for registration as phar-
macists of persons registered as assistant pharmacists
in Maryland on June 1, 1939, and to impose restrictions
as to privileges of reciprocity upon such registrants;
and also to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sec-
tion 238 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of the
Public General Laws of Maryland (1924 Edition), en-
titled "Health", under the sub-title "Commissioners of
Pharmacy", said Section 238 relating to the reciprocal
relations of the Maryland Board of Pharmacy with the
Boards of Pharmacy of other States, and regulating the
granting of reciprocal rights thereunder.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new and additional section be and the
same is hereby added in and to Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland (1935 Sup-
