and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
77. The County Commissioners of Charles County shall
receive six dollars per day for each day they shall be
engaged in the discharge of their duties, but not to exceed
four hundred dollars per year, and shall be allowed no
mileage.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 276.
(Senate Bill 277)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
180 and 181 of Offutt's Revised Code of the Public Local
Laws of Baltimore County, Edition of 1929, Title No.
16 "Crier and Bailiffs" (Flack's Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, 1930, Article 3, Sections 180 and
181). The amendments hereby enacted shall regulate
the salaries of the bailiffs and crier in the Circuit Court
for Baltimore County and payment thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 180 and 181 of Offutt's Revised
Code of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore County, Edi-
tion of 1929, Title No. 16 "Crier and Bailiffs" (Flack's
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, 1930, Article 3,
Sections 180 and 181) be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
Sec. 180. Each of the bailiffs of the Circuit Court for
Baltimore County shall be paid One Hundred Fifty Dollars
($150) per month, the chief bailiff and librarian shall be
paid Two Hundred Dollars ($200) per month, and the
Court crier shall be paid One Hundred Dollars ($100) per
month.
Sec. 181. The said salaries of all of said bailiffs (in-
cluding the chief bailiff and librarian) and the crier shall
be due and payable by the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County on the first Tuesday of each and every month.
