171A. The Judges of Election, whether acting as or sitting
as officers of election, and/or Clerk in Garrett County shall
be allowed and paid Five Dollars a day, such day to be the
time from the opening of the polls and/or registration polls
until the closing of the same; fractions of a day shall be
allowed for pro rata, and over time on registration and elec-
tion days shall be allowed for at the rate of Fifty Cents per
hour, but no person shall be allowed for such overtime (1)
more than $1. 50, if one hundred votes or less were cast at such
polling place, or (2) more than $1. 50 plus $. 50 for each ad-
ditional fifty votes in excess of one hundred, if such votes
exceed one hundred. In all other respects; Section 126 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Elec-
tions", sub-title "Compensation", shall remain in full force
and effect in Garrett County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 26.
(House Bill 35)

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Councilmen of Frost-
burg to issue coupon bonds in an amount not exceeding
Fifteen Thousand ($15, 000. 00) Dollars to be known as
"Frostburg Street Improvement Bonds of 1939", and to sell
the same and to use the proceeds thereof for street improve-
ment and sewer repairs, extensions and improvements, and
to authorize the Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg to fix
the maturity, rates of interest and terms of sale of said
bonds.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the Mayor and Councilmen of Frostburg be and it
is hereby authorized and empowered to issue bonds to an
amount not exceeding Fifteen Thousand ($15, 000. 00) Dollars
and to sell the same in whole or in part and to apply the pro-
ceeds thereof for the general repair and improvement of the
streets, roads and alleys and sewer system of said City; said
