CHAPTER 231.
(House Bill 107)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 20
of Article 99 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Sup-
plement), title "Water-Fowl—Birds and Game", sub-title
"Upland and Migratory Game Birds and Game Animals.
Bag Limits and Export of Game", as said section was
amended by Chapter 524 of the Acts of 1937.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 20 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Water-Fowl—Birds and
Game", sub-title "Upland and Migratory Game Birds and Game
Animals. Bag Limits and Export of Game", as said Section
was amended by Chapter 524 of the Acts of 1937, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:

20. The open season for game birds and game animals shall
be as follows:

Kind of Game Open Season

Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs—

August 16th to September 30th, inclusive.

Rails and Reedbirds—

September 1st to October 31st, inclusive.

Wild Water Fowl—

November 1st to January 31st, inclusive.

Wilson Snipe or Jacksnipe—

November 1st to January 31st, inclusive.

Squirrel—

September 15th to October 15th, inclusive, ex-
cept in Garrett and Allegany Counties, the
open season for hunting of squirrels shall be
November 1st to November 30th, inclusive.

Provided, further, That a landowner residing
on his farmlands, or a tenant of said farm-
lands, may kill any squirrel if said squirrel is
destroying corn on said farmlands between
August 15th and September 14, inclusive.

Dove—

September 1st to September 30th, inclusive;
then closed October 1st to November 14th, in-
clusive; then open November 15th to Decem-
ber 31st, inclusive.
