SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts and parts
of Acts inconsistent with any of the provisions of this Act are
hereby repealed to the extent of their inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That if any part or pro-
vision of this Act shall be held unconstitutional or Invalid or
unenforceable, the same shall not affect the remaining parts of
this Act.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the immedi-
ate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the Gen-
eral Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its

passage.

CHAPTER 222.
(House Bill 502)

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Council of Crisfield, a
municipal corporation, to use the sum of Two Thousand,
Seven Hundred Two Dollars and Eighty-seven Cents
($2, 702. 87), being the unexpended balance of a bond issue,
for current expenses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the Mayor and Council of Crisfield, a municipal
corporation, be and it is hereby authorized to use the sum, of
Two Thousand, Seven Hundred Two Dollars and Eighty-seven
Cents ($2, 702. 87), being the unexpended balance of the bond
issue of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15, 000. 00) issued as of
October 1, 1938, tinder authority of Ordinance No. 170, ap-
proved June 8, 1938, under authority of Sections 348A-348R,
inclusive, of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
the said sum to be used for current expenses of said town.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all of the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of
its passage.
