SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the Commissioners
of Cambridge, Maryland, if any or all of said bonds are sold,
shall have full power and authority to appropriate the pro-
ceeds of the sale of said bonds for any one or more of the fol-
lowing municipal purposes of the City of Cambridge, that is
to say:

(a) For purchasing necessary apparatus and equipment of
any kind for fighting or extinguishing fire.

(b) For the paying for any bulkheading and filling in of any
land adjoining any of the waters, rivers, or creeks in or near
the City of Cambridge.

(c) For the purchase of material and paying the cost of
installing all necessary storm drainage for areas to be filled.

(d) For paying any legal expenses or other costs which may
arise out of the issuance of the bonds or in connection with
the above purposes.

(e) For other permanent municipal improvements found by
the Commissioners of Cambridge, Maryland, necessary to be
made.

SEC. 6. And ~be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after the 1st day of June, 1939.

(House Bill 393)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 260
of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Salis-
bury", providing for the purchase and sale of property.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 260 of Article 23 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico
County", sub-title "Salisbury", be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

260. All property, franchises and funds of every kind be-
longing to or in possession of the Mayor and Council are
vested in this corporation.
