include all lands, buildings, leases, machinery, engines,
poles, wires, artesian wells and other appliances necessary
or advisable in the opinion of the Town Commissioners of
Centreville for the production of electrical power and its
transmission to the point of consumption together with the
lamps required for the proper lighting of the streets, alleys
and public places of said town and the vicinity of said town
within the limits of Queen Anne's County and to citizens,
inhabitants or corporations of Caroline County, Maryland,
within and adjacent to the Town of Bridgetown.
117. The Town Commissioners of Centreville shall have
full power and authority to acquire by purchase, lease, gift,
devise, or by condemnation in the manner prescribed in
Sections 331 to 337, inclusive, of Article 23 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, any land or interest
therein, any pole line, with its equipment of wires, switches,
lamps, etc., already erected for electrical purposes, in the
town of Centreville aforesaid or in Queen Anne's county
beyond the limits of said town, or in Caroline County,
Maryland, within and adjacent to the Town of Bridgetown,
which may be needed for the construction, operation and
maintenance of said plant and the sale and transmission
of electrical energy or current.
118. The Town Commissioners of Centreville shall have
full power and authority to furnish and supply the citizens,
inhabitants and corporations of said town, and of the vi-
cinity of the said town within the limits of Queen Anne's
County and to citizens, inhabitants or corporations
of Caroline County, Maryland, within and adjacent to the
Town of Bridgetown, in its discretion, with electric power
and energy for all purposes; to sell electric power and cur-
rent and to provide for its transmission to points of con-
sumption in said town or in Queen Anne's County afore-
said beyond the limits of said town or to citizens, inhabi-
tants or corporations of Caroline County, Maryland, within
and adjacent to the Town of Bridgetown, to fix and estab-
lish, and from time to time change schedules of rates and
charges for said electric power and energy; to make from
time to time rules and regulations in regard to the collec-
tion of said rates, the furnishing and supplying or discon-
tinuing of any electric service to the consumer thereof or
the use thereof by consumers, including all connections
made with buildings of consumers, but no service of
electric power shall continue to be furnished to any con-
sumer if such consumer shall be in arrears for thirty days
on account of electric service furnished by said corpora-
tion.
