tion district of the County to act as Assessors, and to
receive compensation at the rate of eight dollars ($8. 00)
per day, and one competent clerk for each such district to
receive compensation of four dollars ($4. 00) per day.
Such Assessors and clerks shall serve only during such
general reassessment.
152D. (a) Neither the Director nor any Assessor, nor
any employee of the Department shall receive or retain any
fee or commission whatever for any services performed
hereunder; any such fees or commissions collectible by
law shall be paid to the County Treasurer and credited
to the general funds of the County.
(b) The County Commissioners shall appropriate four
hundred dollars ($400. 00) annually to be expended under
the control of the Director for travelling and other ex-
penses of himself and his assistants in connection with
their duties under this sub-title.
ASSESSMENTS.
152E. To carry out a continuous, orderly assessment
of property and to maintain a fair equalization of assess-
able values in the County, the Director
(1) Shall visit or cause an Assessor or assistant to
visit each district of Anne Arundel County at frequent
intervals and shall inform himself by all lawful means
(a) Of all property, stock or investments in the
County liable to taxation and not included in the last
revised list of assessments.
(b) Of all buildings and improvements constructed,
and of all property created or acquired, since such revised
assessment, and
(c) Of any property heretofore assessed which, in
justice and equity, requires revaluation, and
(2) Shall value or re-value all such property at its full
cash value, and
(3) Shall submit bi-monthly to the Board of County
Commissioners at its first meeting in that month a written
statement under his oath setting forth in detail all property
recommended for assessment, the valuation which he has
placed thereon, and the name and post office address, if
known, of the person assessed.
Until authorized by the State Tax Commission or by law,
no general re-assessment shall be made in the County. In
