sary to be expended by the Maryland-National Capital Park
and Planning Commission for the improvement, development
maintenance, and operation on all that part of the tract of
land conveyed by deed made July 5, 1899, from Henry Brad-
ley Davidson and Mary S. P. Davidson, his wife, to the
United States of America, recorded among the Land Records
of Montgomery County, Maryland, in Liber T. D. 8 at folio
429 which is the land conveyed by the United States of
America by Henry A. Wallace, Secretary of Agriculture, to
the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commis-
sion by deed dated April 26, 1937, recorded September 8,
1937 in Liber 678, folio 85 of the Land Records of Montgomery
County now known as the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Recreation
Center in Montgomery County, including the installation,
development, and maintenance therein of such recreational
community park and playground facilities as may, in the dis-
cretion of the said Commission, be necessary to provide an
adequate recreation and community center.

2. To pay over to the Maryland-National Capital Park
and Planning Commission any remaining funds from the pro-
ceeds of the said bond issue which may not be required for
the specific purposes above set forth in this section; and the
said remaining funds, if any, so received by the said
Maryland-National Park and Planning Commission may be
expended, within its discretion, by the said Commission for
general park purposes within the Maryland-Washington
Metropolitan District in Montgomery County, including
acquisition, development, maintenance, and operation of parks,
playgrounds, recreational and other public community pur-
poses within parks under the jurisdiction of the said
Commission.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose
of paying the interest on said bonds, and for redeeming the
said bonds as they mature, the said Board of County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County shall, for the year of the
issuance thereof and annually thereafter until all of said
bonds issued under the authority of this Act shall mature and
be redeemed, levy a tax upon the assessable property in that
portion of the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District
in Montgomery County sufficient to pay the annual interest
on said bonds outstanding, and to redeem said bonds as they
mature and become due, said taxes to be collected as other
taxes levied in said County are collected, provided, however,
that if, for any reason, in any year, during which any bonds
issued under the authority of this Act shall remain out-
standing, the proceeds of the said levy within the Maryland-
