Town in which such offense is committed, to prosecute the
offender.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or
parts of laws, whether Public General Laws or Public
Local Laws, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be
and they are hereby suspended for the effective period of
this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 106.

(Senate Bill 217)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
688 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, (1930 Edition), title "Washington County",
sub-title "Orphans' Court", as said section was amended
by Chapter 110 of the Acts of 1933, increasing the com-
pensation of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Wash-
ington County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Section 688 of Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County", sub-title "Orphans' Court", as said
section was amended by Chapter 110 of the Acts of 1933,
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:

688. The sessions of the Orphans' Court of Washington
County shall be held on Tuesday and Friday of each week,
from 10 o'clock A. M. until 3 o'clock P. M., and on such
other days as in the judgment of the Court the public
business and convenience requires; and the said Judges
of the Orphans' Court of Washington County shall each
receive the sum of Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($7. 50)
for each day's attendance upon the sessions of said Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
not be construed to affect the compensation of the present
incumbents during the term for which they were elected,
