258, 259 and 260 of said Article, to follow immediately
after Section 256 of said Article, relating to the sale,
possession, and handling of intoxicating liquors in Kent
County, and the prosecution of and penalties for viola-
tion of the provisions thereof.

CHAPTER 777.
(Senate Bill 463)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 502, 503, 503-A and 503-B of
Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), as said sections were amended by
Chapter 464 of the Acts of 1933, title "Dorchester
County", sub-title "Sheriff", and to enact in lieu thereof
7 new sections to be known as Sections 502 to 502-E, to
follow immediately after Section 501 of said Article, pro-
viding for the compensation and expenses of the Sheriff
and his Deputies and for the disposition of fines and
costs by him collected.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That Sections 502, 503, 503-A and 503-B of
Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), as amended by Chapter 464 of the Acts
of 1933, be and they are hereby repealed and that 7 new
sections; be and they are hereby enacted in lieu thereof, said
new sections to be known as sections 502 to 502-E, to
follow immediately after Section 501 of said Article and to
read as follows:

502. The Sheriff of Dorchester County shall receive an
annual salary of the sum of Twenty-four Hundred Dollars.
to be paid to him in monthly installments of Two Hundred
Dollars by the County Commissioners of Dorchester
County, and he shall be paid the further sum of Six Hun-
dred Dollars per annum, to be paid to him in monthly
installments, for expenses incident to the operation of his
automobile in performing the duties of his office, which
sum or sums shall be in lieu of all expenses, fees or costs
now or heretofore allowed the Sheriff of Dorchester County
for expenses for transferring prisoners to and from penal
institutions and places of confinement in the State of Mary-
land, including also the transfer of insane committed by
