injuries sustained prior to the payment of any moneys to
such injured person, his attorneys or legal representatives,
as compensation for such injuries. Such hospital shall
mail a copy of such notice to any insurance carrier, if
known, which has insured such person, firm or corpora-
tion against such liability.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 25, 26,
27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 49, 50, 51 and 52 of
Article 63 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924
Edition), title "Mechanics' Lien", be and they are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 14, 16, 20 and 30 of Article 74 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Pilots", relat-
ing to the Piloting of Vessels in the Chesapeake Bay and
certain of the ports and tributaries thereof and to and
from the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, and estab-
lishing rates of pilotage therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 14, 16, 20, 21 and so of Article
74 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition),
title, "Pilots", be and they are hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments to read as follows:
14. If any person not having a license as a pilot shall
take upon himself to conduct or pilot any vessel bound
from any port in this State to sea or through the Chesa-
peake & Delaware Canal, or coming from sea or through
the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal and bound to any river
of this State and to any port thereof, or bound from sea
or any port outside this State to any other destination
outside this State by way of the Chesapeake Bay and the
Chesapeake & Delaware Canal, he shall forfeit one hun-
dred and fifty dollars and shall also be liable for all dam-
ages occasioned by his undertaking to conduct or pilot any
