tion records a notification that such death or conviction has
been reported to said Board, and that, upon failure to deny
such death or conviction, within two weeks of the mailing
of such notification, the registration of such voter will be
cancelled, and, upon such failure, said Board of Registry
shall remove the cards or forms of said persons from the reg-
istry and place same in a transfer file.
Any voter of Montgomery or Washington Counties, on or
before the Tuesday, five weeks preceding a general election
may file with the Permanent Board of Registry at the Board's
office, or with any supplemental Board of Registry which the
Supervisors of Election may appoint, objections to the regis-
tration of any person who, he or she has reason to believe,
is not eligible to vote, or a request for the addition of any
person whose name has been omitted or who has been errone-
ously dropped from the registries of any precinct of said
Counties.
Application for the correction of any such precinct registry,
or a challenge of the right to vote of a person named, or the
addition of any person whose name has been omitted or who
has been erroneously dropped from the precinct registries,
may be made by any qualified voter of the Counties at the
offices of the Boards not later than on or before the Tuesday
five weeks preceding a general election; providing, however,
that no such application may be made or will be accepted
ten days prior or ten days after any primary or special elec-
tion. Such application or challenges, with the reasons there-
for, shall be filed on forms provided by the Board for that
purpose and shall be attested by the oath of such qualified
voter and shall remain in the permanent possession of the
respective Boards.
In Washington County the two members of the Permanent
Board of Registry, of opposite political parties, shall sit for
the purpose of hearing applications for changes in such reg-
istries, or challenges of the right to vote of persons on such
registry, on the Tuesday three weeks before an election be-
tween the hours of 10. 00 A. M. and 4. 00 P. M., and such other
hours as the Board of Supervisors of Election of Washington
County may designate for the purpose. If all such applica-
tions or challenges be not determined on that day, such mem-
bers of the said Board shall sit during the same hours on suc-
ceeding days until all cases are heard and decided. If such
members of said Board are unable to hear all such cases
within one week from the time when such sessions shall com-
mence, the Supervisors of Election shall appoint one or more
Boards of two members each of opposite political parties to
aid in hearing such applications or challenges, the said mem-
