Department shall notify the applicant of its decision. Should
the fund or funds available be sufficient to permit a grant to
only a part of the blind coming within the provisions of this
sub-title, the County Department shall select in its discretion
those in most urgent need of such assistance.

25. Funeral Expenses. On the death of the recipient, rea-
sonable funeral expenses, not exceeding One Hundred
Dollars ($100. 00), may, subject to the rules and regula-
tions of the State Board, be paid by the County Board, if the
estate of the deceased is insufficient to pay the same and the
persons legally responsible for the support of the deceased
are unable to pay the same. The cost of any such payments
shall be charged two-thirds to State funds and one-third to
local funds.

28. Periodic Reconsideration and Changes in Amount of
Assistance.
All public assistance grants made under this sub-
title shall be reconsidered as frequently as may be required
by the rules of the State Board. After such further investiga-
tion as the County Board may deem necessary or the State
Board may require, the amount of assistance may be changed
or may be entirely withdrawn if the State and County Boards
find that the recipient's circumstances have altered sufficiently
to warrant such action. The County Board may at any time
cancel and revoke assistance for cause and it may for cause
suspend assistance for such period as it may deem proper.
All such decisions shall be subject to review by the State
Board as provided in Section 26 of this Act.

32. Annual Appropriation. The County Commissioners of
each county and the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall
annually levy or appropriate an amount sufficient to provide
for thirty-five per cent of all assistance paid or to be paid with-
in said county or city. Provided, however, that the County Com-
missioners of each county and the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore shall not be obligated to pay any sums as assistance
in excess of thirty-five per cent of the total of all assistance
paid or to be paid within said county or city hereunder, except
to the extent that funds may be available in the State Treas-
ury.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 19 of this
Article be and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.
