for any female between the ages of 16 and 18 years, or for any
male under the age of twenty-one years, to marry unless the
parent or guardian of such male or female, in person or by
signed affidavit, assent thereto, and, in the case of a female,
swear or affirm that she is over the age of sixteen years, and
in the case of a male, swear or affirm that he is over the age of
eighteen years.

7A. When either of the contracting parties is known to be
within the provisions of the preceding section, it shall be
the duty of any Clerk of the Court, before issuing a license, or
of any minister, before performing a ceremony pursuant to
publication, or of the witnesses at a Quaker ceremony, to de-
mand the assent and statement required by the preceding sec-
tion and thereafter to make said assent and statement, if
written, or the fact thereof, if made in person, a part of the
record required hereunder; provided, however, that the certifi-
cate of a licensed physician referred to in the preceding sec-
tion shall not be made a part of such record.

7B. Any person violating the provisions of Sections 7 and
7A shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof, shall be subject to a fine of not less than $25. 00 and not
more than $250. 00. Any person who shall knowingly make any
false statement to procure any license or marriage ceremony
in violation of the provisions hereof shall be guilty of and
punished for perjury.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

(House Bill 337)

AN ACT to repeal Section 333 of Article 3, of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Balti-
more County", sub-title "Metropolitan District", (Offutt's
Code of the Revised Public Local Laws of Baltimore County,
(1929 Edition), Title 29, sub-title "Health and Sanitation",
Section 333), and to substitute in lieu thereof a new section
to be known as Section 333 and to follow immediately after
Section 332 of said Article, giving power and authority to
the County Commissioners of Baltimore County and/or
Anne Arundel County and/or the proper authorities of
Baltimore City to enter into contracts and "agreements
