CHAPTER 724.
(House Bill 437)

AN ACT to repeal Section 189A of Article 56 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement and amendments
thereto), title "Licenses", sub-title "Motor Vehicles" and
to add a new section to Article 48 to be known as Section
153 and to provide for the establishment and maintenance
of State owned and operated or controlled stations for the
inspection of the safety factors of motor vehicles and to
provide fees for such inspection and the appointment of a
Commission for the administration of the act.

CHAPTER 725.
(House Bill 419)

AN ACT to repeal Section 115 of Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dor-
chester County", sub-title "Fire Levy", and to enact in lieu
thereof three new sections, said new sections to be tinder
sub-title "Fire Departments", to be known as Sections
303A, 303B, and 3030 and to follow immediately after
Section 303 of said Article, authorizing and directing the
County Commissioners of Dorchester County to levy certain
sums for the volunteer fire companies of said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 115 of Article 10 of the Code of Public
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County",
sub-title "Fire Levy", be and it is hereby repealed; and that
three new sections be and they are hereby enacted in lieu
thereof, said new sections to be under sub-title "Fire Depart-
ments", to be known as Sections 303A, 303B and 303C, and to
follow immediately after Section 303 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

Fire Departments.

303A. The County Commissioners of Dorchester County
are hereby authorized and directed to pay annually an
amount not exceeding, nor less than six thousand dollars
($6, 000. 00) to the several volunteer fire companies so long as
said fire companies remain active bodies, and active fire fight-
