SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

(House Bill 152)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Elections",
sub-title "Registration", said new section to be known as
Section 26A and to follow immediately after Section 26 of
said Article, providing for the registration of voters in
Anne Arundel County at the office of the Board of Super-
visors of Elections at certain times.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement),
title "Elections", sub-title "Registration", said new section
to be known as Section 26A, to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 26 of said Article, and to read as follows:

26A. In Anne Arundel County, the Board of Supervisors
of Elections shall sit at the office of the said Board on every
Tuesday during the month of April in the year of any national
or local general election, between the hours of 9. 00 A. M. and
12 o'clock noon, for the purpose of registering any qualified
voter of Anne Arundel County and, for this purpose, said
Board shall have the same powers and rights as registration
officers, including the right and power of administering oaths.
For their services hereunder the members of said Board shall
receive from the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County five dollars ($5. 00) per day in addition to their other
compensation provided by law. On and after June 1, 1939,
there shall be only one day for the registration of voters in the
several precincts and election districts of Anne Arundel
County, and that shall be on the last day provided for the
registration of voters in the several counties of the State,
preceding State, county and national elections. All of the
other provisions of this Article relating to the registration of
voters, except as herein provided, shall apply to the registra-
tion of voters under the provisions of this section.
