Maryland, Session of 1935, so as to change the boundaries
of the area within which special levies for the maintenance
and operation of the fire department known as the Kensing-
ton Volunteer Fire Department, Incorporated, has been
heretofore authorized by said chapter; and to authorize and
direct the County Commissioners of Montgomery County,
Maryland, to make special levies of not more than ten cents
($. 10) on each one hundred dollars, of the assessable value of
the real and personal property within certain parts of the
Fourth and Thirteenth Election Districts of Montgomery
County, for the purpose of maintaining and operating said
Fire Department within said area; and providing for the
manner in which the number of cents on each one hundred
dollars of the assessable value of the real property within
said certain area to be levied each year may be determined,
and authorizing and directing the tax collecting authorities
of said County to pay over to the Treasurer of the Kensing-
ton Volunteer Fire Department, Incorporated, its successor
or successors, the tax so levied and collected for disburse-
ment for the said purpose of maintaining and operating the
said Kensington Volunteer Fire Department, Incorporated,
in said area.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted) by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Chapter 570 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, Session of 1935 be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
For the purpose of providing funds with which to maintain
and operate a fire department within certain parts of the
Fourth and Thirteenth Election Districts of Montgomery
County, particularly designated and described, and lying and
being within the bounds, courses and distances, as follows,
to wit:
Beginning at the intersection of Rock Creek and the south-
ern boundary line of the corporate limits of the Town of Gar-
rett Park; thence following the center lines of Rock Creek
in a southerly direction to a point where Rock Creek is crossed
by the Glen Road; thence northerly along the center line of
the Glen Road, crossing the Metropolitan Branch of the Bal-
timore and Ohio Railroad right-of-way; thence continuing
easterly along the center line of the Forest Glen Road to the
intersection of the Forest Glen Road and the center line of
Sligo Branch; thence northerly along the said center line of
Sligo Branch to the intersection of said center line of Sligo
Branch and center line of the old Bladensburg Road (Wheaton
and Four Corners Road); thence along the center line of old
Bladensburg Road in the southeastern direction to a point
where said road is intersected by the line of the Washington
