Director of Health may be removed by the Board of
Health only for incompetency or misconduct in the same
manner as civil officers receiving appointment from the
Executive for a term of years, may be removed by the Gov-
ernor under the provisions of Section 15 of Article 2 of
the Constitution.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 1A
and 2 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, be,
and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1939.

AN ACT to repeal Section 423 of Article 13, of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County, " sub-title, "Notaries. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 423 of Article 13, of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title, "Harford County, "
sub-title, "Notaries, " be and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 74.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 13, of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title, "Harford
County, " sub-title, "Aberdeen, " to be known as Section
18A, to provide for exemption from taxation for town
purposes of each bona fide active member of the Aber-
deen Fire Department, Inc., to the extent of one thou-
sand dollars ($1000. 00).
