and empowered to contract with any such County, Munici-
pality or Special Taxing District with respect to the con-
struction and/or maintenance of the facilities and other
work authorized by this sub-title for the purpose of effecting
mosquito control or elimination in or adjacent to such County,
Municipality or Special Taxing District; and such County,
Municipality or Special Taxing District is hereby obligated
to carry out the provisions of any contract entered into with
the State Entomologist or other officer or agent with respect
to the work authorized by this sub-title, and, for the purpose
of meeting its financial commitments thereunder, each such
County, Municipality and Special Taxing District is hereby
authorized, empowered and directed to appropriate and, if
necessary, to levy taxes for and pay over such funds as its
contract with the State Entomologist or other officer or agent
may from time to time require.
70C. The State Board of Agriculture through the State
Entomologist or its duly authorized officer or agent is hereby
authorized and empowered to acquire in the name of the State
for the use of the State Entomologist or other officer or agent
such property, easements and other rights as it may from
time to time deem desirable or necessary for the purpose of
carrying out the provisions of this sub-title, and it is hereby
authorized and empowered to acquire such property, ease-
ments and rights by gift, purchase or condemnation from the
owners thereof.
70D. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this
sub-title the State Board of Agriculture is hereby authorized
and empowered to employ such entomologists, engineers, at-
torneys, supervisors, laborers and other persons as it may
from time to time deem necessary and it may execute such
work as it may undertake in pursuance of this sub-title by
contract or force account, as it may deem to be in the best
interest of the State.
70E. The State Board of Agriculture through the State
Entomologist or its duly authorized officer or agent is hereby
authorized and empowered to accept, use or expend on such
terms as may be satisfactory to said Board such aid, gift or
loan as may from time to time be made available by the Gov-
ernment of the United States or any agency thereof for the
purpose of carrying out the provisions of this sub-title.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.
