CHAPTER 541.
(House Bill 650)

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Prince George's County to pay over to the several incorpo-
rated towns of said county all fines collected for breach of
the ordinances of such towns.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County be and they are hereby authorized and directed each
month to pay over to the proper officials of the several incorpo-
rated towns in Prince George's County all fines which may
have been collected by Trial Magistrates for breach of the
respective ordinances of said towns and transmitted to the
County Commissioners by the Trial Magistrates who collected
the same from the offenders.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 542.
(House Bill 651)

AN ACT to provide for four (4) additional officers and for
two (2) additional desk clerks for the Prince George's
County Police force, and for two (2) corporals to be desig-
nated from among the members of said force; and to provide
for salary increases for those members of the force who have
served for more than a year.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That in addition to the police officers provided for Prince
George's County by Chapter 50 of the Acts of Assembly of
1937, the Police Commissioners of said county are authorized
and directed to appoint four (4) additional officers for the
Prince George's County Police force, such officers to be ap-
pointed after having taken examinations in the same manner
as is provided by said Chapter 50 of the Acts of 1937 for
appointments to such force, to receive the salaries therein
provided, to be subject to probationary periods, and in all
