HERBERT R. O'CONOR, GOVERNOR. 1093

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Baltimore County", sub-title "Building Regula-
tions", said new section to be known as Section 68A, to follow
immediately after Section 68 of said Article arid to read as
follows:

68A. When a garage is hereafter constructed as part of a
dwelling, the garage portion shall have no interior connecting
openings to any portion of the building either through walls,
ceiling or floor. All sides separating the garage from the rest
of the building shall be not less than 8" brick or concrete
walls. The roof or floor construction over the garage portion
shall be fireproof and the structural slab shall be not less
than 33½" thick. Any person, firm, corporation, or association
failing to comply with the provisions of this section shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished, upon convic-
tion, by a fine of not less than $50 and not more than $500.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 534.
(House Bill 500)

AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 48A of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Insur-
ance", sub-title "Life, Accident and Health Insurance",
said new sections to follow immediately after Section 82A,
and to be known as Sections 82B, 82C, 82D and 82E, de-
fining burial insurance, regulating the qualifications of
those desiring to engage in or continue in the business,
providing for the payment of benefits in cash, and imposing
restrictions on the making of contracts to pay benefits to
funeral directors, undertakers, tradesmen or business men.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That four new sections be and they are hereby added to
Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Sup-
plement), title "Insurance", sub-title "Life, Accident and
Health Insurance", said new sections to be known as Sections
82B, 82C, 82D and 82E, to follow immediately after Section
