SECTION 1. Be It enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the Board of Public Works and the State Roads
Commission be authorized and empowered to convey to the
Town of Kensington, in Montgomery County, without con-
sideration, a certain parcel of land, being part of the land
conveyed to the State of Maryland for the use of the State
Roads Commission by deed dated March 15, 1933 from the
Washington Loan and Trust Company, trustee under the last
will and testament of Brainard H. Warner and recorded
among the Land Records of Montgomery County, in Liber
No. 558 at folio No. 445, the parcel of land to be conveyed to
the Town of Kensington being that portion lying between the
right-of-way line of the new highway approach to the grade
elimination at Kensington, and Connecticut Avenue, as shown
on Plat No. 463 of the State Roads Commission, Contract
M77-2-33, and being described as follows: Part of Lots No. 1,
2 and 3, Block 10, in the subdivision known as "Kensington
Park" beginning at the intersection of the west line of Con-
necticut Avenue and the north line of Baltimore Street and
thence running with and binding on the north line of Balti-
more Street North 76° 15' 30" West, seven (7) feet to the
easterly right-of-way line of said highway approach to said
bridge as shown on said State Roads Commission plat No. 463,
thence in a northwesterly direction, on the curve of the north-
easterly right-of-way line of said highway approach, 220 feet
more or less to the intersection of said right-of-way line with
the east line of the Windsor S. Tyler lot; thence with and
binding thereon North 13° 46' 30" East 21. 05 feet to the north
line of Lot No. 1; thence binding thereon South 70° 43' 30"
East 141. 60 feet, North 81° 30" East 9. 75 feet to intersect the
west line of Connecticut Avenue; thence running with and
binding thereon South 13° 46' 30" West 163. 60 feet to the
place of beginning.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Pub-
lic Works, and the Chairman of the State Roads Commission
be and they are hereby authorized to execute, or cause to be
executed, such deeds, conveyances or other instruments as
may be necessary to effect a transfer of the property described
in the preceding section of this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.
